It’s important to have a healthy breakfast first thing in the morning. Not only will it help you to avoid food cravings later on, but it will also give you energy for your day ahead. Here are five high protein breakfast ideas that are perfect if you’re looking for something easy to prepare and good for your body too…
– Scrambled eggs are made by whisking some eggs, adding some milk or water, salt, pepper and any herbs of your choice. Once you’ve whisked the eggs, add some olive oil to a pan and turn the heat on. Once it’s hot, add the egg mixture and cook until solid.
– Another good egg option is an egg muffin. Beat the egg with spices such as salt and pepper and add in whatever vegetables you fancy. You can also add in some cheese if you like that extra bit of flavour. Use a muffin tray to bake them in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
– Homemade granola is extremely easy to do and tastes delicious. You simply need some oats, some crunchy nuts, seeds, dried fruit and honey or agave syrup. Mix together and bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 180°C (356°F).
– A super yummy breakfast option is chia pudding. Simply mix two tablespoons of chia seeds with some almond milk (soya is also fine if you don’t drink dairy), half a teaspoon of cinnamon or honey, your choice of berries and half an apple chopped into small chunks – this will give it an extra sweetness.
